Pet Diagnostic Services in rogers, ar

We have a vast array of tests and equipment to help us create an accurate picture of your pet’s health. These tools give us a powerful mechanism to better care for your pet. Some of the diagnostic tools that we utilize are radiology, ultrasonography and lab work.

Radiology

X-rays provide valuable information about a pet’s bones, gastrointestinal tract (stomach, intestines, colon), respiratory tract (lungs), heart, and genitourinary system (bladder, prostate). We may also use X-rays during a wellness exam to diagnose potential problems before they become serious.

We offer digital radiology (X-rays captured digitally rather than on film). This technology gives us a clearer picture to evaluate and uses less radiation than traditional X-rays. Also, it provides us with a quicker diagnosis for your pet.

Ultrasonography

Ultrasounds (or "sonography") is a non-invasive, pain-free procedure that uses sound waves to examine a pet’s internal organs and other structures inside the body. It can evaluate the animal’s heart, kidneys, liver, gallbladder, and bladder. With an ultrasound, we can detect fluid, cysts, tumors, or abscesses and confirm or monitor an ongoing pregnancy.

Ultrasound does not involve radiation, has no known side effects, and doesn’t typically require pets to be sedated or anesthetized.

Lab Work

Lab work is essential for diagnosing and monitoring the health of your pet. We take blood samples to analyze for cell counts, organ function, and potential infections, and urine and feces are examined for signs of parasites, bacteria, or abnormalities. Skin scrapings help us identify skin conditions or infections, and biopsies are sent for tissue analysis.

Lab results are reviewed by our veterinarians to identify any health issues or disease conditions. Based on these findings, we will recommend treatment plans, medications, or further diagnostic tests.
